Lab Technician 2 ( 2A Sunday -Tuesday every other Saturday 4pm-4am )

Meet the team:

Are you interested in performing laboratory testing while being responsible for maintaining the health of the instrument? Are you looking for a mix of routine testing and hands on maintenance of instrumentation? This position is for you! Dexcom is expanding its internal testing department and is looking for people who can perform routine instrumental analysis along with performing basic routine maintenance the instrument.

Where you come in:

• You will be performing routine analysis of samples brought into the space along with performing routine maintenance on the instrument and first level troubleshooting.
• You manage the health of a fleet of instruments and escalate when maintenance or troubleshooting requirements going beyond a level 1 requirement.
• You will perform assigned duties on time and following established procedures and protocols for testing, release specification criteria and low-level maintenance requirements.
• You will be responsible for training manufacturing associates on performing routine analysis on the instruments.
• You will interact with other departments, collaborating on the delivery of test samples and the release of data for those samples.

• You have experience in running instrumentation and preparing solutions / reagents in a controlled laboratory setting, following good documentation practices and good laboratory practices.
• You have experience performing level 1 or limited troubleshooting / maintenance on instruments.
• You bring a drive to complete tasks on time and an understanding of the process flow / importance of data release for a testing laboratory.
• You are driven to do tasks “right the first time” and take responsibility for your actions and decisions, regardless of the outcome.
• You work well in a small team environment and can pivot to different tasks quickly and work under pressure for extend periods of time.
• You can maintain record keeping and documentation for testing and processes performed, including electronic and handwritten.
• You have an understanding of basic Office suite software – Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
• Knowledge of manufacturing chemistry and solution preparation.
• Hands-on experience with the YSI Biochemical Analyzer, including operation, calibration, maintenance, and data interpretation.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience and a High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.
