How the Shift Runs

You arrive ahead of the 3pm start to review the prior shift’s notes, current priorities, and any open quality or downtime items. After a concise kickoff with the team, you stay visible on the floor—checking pace against targets, validating that materials and staffing align to the schedule, and responding quickly when conditions change.

Throughout the evening you document key events, confirm updates are reflected in the usual tracking tools, and keep communication tight with maintenance and leadership so decisions are made with current information. As the shift progresses, you rebalance workload, recognize strong performance, and ensure the handoff is clear and actionable for the next crew before closeout.
