About this role

Join Emplify Health by Gundersen as a Casual Surgery RN and provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients in a surgical setting. In this role, you’ll assess, plan, intervene, document, and evaluate care while working closely with patients, families, and the care team. You’ll help support safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment where strong clinical judgment and teamwork matter every day.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients, families, and health care professionals to develop a patient-centered plan of care.
• Provide competent and innovative patient care and education based on patient complexity, acuity, and nursing judgment.
• Document nursing assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and patient or family response.
• Evaluate patient progress and revise the plan of care as needed.
• Accept accountability, seek feedback, clarify concerns, and work toward resolving problems or conflicts.
• Practice in alignment with the Gundersen Health System mission, values, strategic plan, and Nursing Professional Framework.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
• Personally interact with, engage with, and care for patients.
• Ensure patient safety.

What you will need

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• No experience required.
• 6 months or more of previous nursing experience preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin required.
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
