Kimball & Beecher Family Dentistry is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our Des Moines clinical team! Whether you're an experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or someone interested in starting a career in dentistry, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, motivated, compassionate, and committed to providing an exceptional patient experience. Dental assisting experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate!

What You'll Do

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care
• Take dental X-rays as trained and permitted by Iowa regulations
• Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visits
• Provide pre- and post-operative instructions and patient education
• Sterilize instruments and follow OSHA and infection control protocols
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment rooms
• Accurately document patient care and maintain clinical records
• Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and fellow team members to provide efficient, high-quality care

What We're Looking For

• Iowa Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred, but not required
• Previous dental assisting experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to thrive in a busy, team-oriented dental practice
• Commitment to excellent patient care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Dental assisting experience preferred, but not required
• Iowa RDA registration preferred, but not required
• Willingness to complete required training and meet applicable Iowa dental assisting requirements
