This position plays a critical role in supporting MSCF students through individualized career coaching, employer engagement, alumni programming, and the development of high-impact career services initiatives.

Core responsibilities include:

·       Provide individualized career coaching to approximately 100 MSCF students, helping them define career goals, develop effective job-search strategies, strengthen interviewing and networking skills, and navigate offer evaluation and negotiation.

·       Deliver industry-informed advising through one-on-one coaching sessions and group workshops.

·       Develop and facilitate programming focused on resume preparation, interview techniques, networking, job-search, and experiential learning opportunities.

·       Plan and implement annual career-related events, including alumni mock interviews, alumni career panels, employer presentations, networking events, and on-campus recruiting activities.

·       Build and maintain relationships with employers through outreach initiatives, site visits, and targeted marketing campaigns to expand employment opportunities for students.

·       Work closely with student leadership representatives; conduct monthly meetings and oversee the planning and execution of the Peer Mentorship Program.

·       Partner with the Director of Alumni Relations to identify and implement new initiatives that strengthen alumni volunteer engagement, including Alumni Mentorship and Quant-in-Residence programs.

·       Assess and enhance career services programming in response to evolving industry trends and employment markets.

·       Collaborate with faculty, alumni, employers, and university partners to support student career outcomes.

·       Perform additional duties as assigned.

Adaptability, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within Carnegie Mellon University. We are in search of a team member who can effectively interact with a varied population of internal and external partners at a high level of integrity. We are looking for someone who shares our values and who will support the mission of the university through their work.

You should demonstrate:

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Strong organizational and project management abilities

·       Experience managing databases, CRM systems, and career services technologies

·       Demonstrated technical proficiency and willingness to learn and integrate technology tools into advising practices and career programming, including MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, AI platforms, Notion, and Canva

·       Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

·       Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience required

·       Experience in financial services, higher education, career services, graduate recruiting, or university relations strongly preferred

·       A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
