Summary:

Assists with developing and leading classroom activities and developmentally appropriate programs.

Responsibilities:

Works collaboratively with the teacher to assess learning/development needs and to develop age appropriate learning solutions.Assist the teacher with implementing the teaching schedule and curriculum.Assist teachers with course progress report procedures.Supervises children to ensure safety. Ensures classroom meets local licensing standards.Attends periodical staff meetings.Follows accreditation and licensing policies and practices.Applies knowledge of learning principles to engage the children in appropriate activities.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Six months experience working or volunteering with children. Other Information: Requires full Level 2 Background Screening at hire and every 5 years following.
