About our Practice

The Congenital Heart Center is a specialty practice located at the Helen Devos Children's Care Center, 25 Michigan St. NE, Suite 4200, Grand Rapids, 49503. While this serves as our primary location, we also provider care through several outreach clinics across West Michigan. Our team of specialist's cares for patients with congenital heart disease, meaning conditions that are present at birth. We provide comprehensive care across the lifespan, treating patients from the fetal stage, through childhood and adulthood, and into later life. Our goal is to deliver expert, compassionate care tailored to each patient's unique cardiac needs. . Our clinical support staff play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and providing high-quality patient care. The team environment is our key to success; everyone is part of the team, The providers, nurses, sonographers, medical assistants, ACT's, and PST's all work closely together to make sure our patients receive the best care possible. Practice leadership strives to make the environment a safe, open, and honest place to work where everyone can have fun and enjoy coming to work.

About Outpatient Clinics 

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. 

Scope of work  

The role of the ACT is crucial in supporting the provider team and the clinic. They are responsible for rooming patients, facilitating patient flow in the clinic, handling patient check outs, and scheduling follow-up appointments in the exam room, placing heart monitors, preparing charts, and more. Candidates for this position should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and possess strong organization and communication skills

Qualifications  

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
