Job Summary:

Harrisburg-based Clark Transfer is looking for a full-time Safety/Recruiting Coordinator to join our team.  Working primarily with the Recruiting Department, this position coordinates the administrative steps that move Owner Operator candidates from application through onboarding and orientation. They will process applications, prepare for orientation sessions, organize required paperwork and records, and play an active role during orientation to help new Owner Operators get started successfully. The position also provides administrative support to the Safety Department as needed.

Job Duties:

• Receive, review, process, and track Owner Operator applications
• Coordinate pre-orientation onboarding steps with Recruiting, Safety, as well as the candidates
• Prepare for new Owner Operator orientation
• Conduct and participate in new Owner Operator onboarding, orientation, and safety training
• Review completed orientation and onboarding paperwork for accuracy and completeness; enter information into company systems and maintain organized digital and physical records.
• Provide administrative assistance to the Safety Director, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and record organization
• Create and maintain Owner Operator qualification and tractor files in coordination with the appropriate departments
• Assist, as requested, with tracking routine compliance documentation such as CDL, medical certification, tractor inspection, and passport renewal records
• Help coordinate safety related paperwork, orientation materials, or ELD administrative questions
• Assist with other tasks as assigned

• Ability to multitask and efficiently juggle many tasks
• Ability to effectively communicate, at all levels, with a diverse family of employees and Owner-Operators
• Demonstrated initiative in seeking additional work responsibilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
• Ability to learn our customized Access-based program

Experience:

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
• Clear, professional communication and a helpful, service-oriented approach to working with candidates, employees, and Owner Operators
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to learn Clark Transfer’s customized Access-based program
• Comfort with document processing, data entry, confidential information, and maintaining accurate records
• Ability to work collaboratively across Recruiting and Safety departments 
• Trucking or transportation industry experience is required; experience in recruiting coordination, onboarding, or orientation support is a plus
• High School or GED equivalent required; college degree preferred
