Job Title: CNC Mazak Programmer
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $ 26 - $32 per hour depending on Experience
Location: Machesney Park, Il 61115
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Mazak Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience programming and setting up Mazak CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts. The candidate must be able to read engineering drawings, select appropriate tooling, optimize machining processes, and maintain strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and set up Mazak CNC machines.
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mazatrol and/or applicable G-code programming.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Select cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and program prove-outs.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and improve cycle times and productivity.
- Maintain quality standards, machine safety, and production schedules.
- Work independently and collaborate with engineering and production teams.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNC Mazak Programmer, CNC Machinist, or CNC Setup Technician.
- Strong knowledge of Mazatrol conversational programming and/or G-code.
- Experience with CNC turning, milling, or multitasking machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
- Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Mazak Integrex, Quick Turn, or other Mazak CNC machine models.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and toolpath optimization.
- Experience machining complex, close-tolerance components.
