Description
Overview
A Family Office that dynamically invests in cutting-edge technologies of the future is looking for a resourceful individual to lead personal and business initiatives for the family. The ideal candidate will act as the flight director of the family office, overseeing major logistical activities. These include researching educational opportunities, hiring vendors and support staff, organizing travel, executing special projects and events, and accompanying principals to exclusive events. The hands-on role also involves planning and ensuring seamless operations for family members and other staff, interacting with multiple external parties, and frequent communication with family members and existing staff.
The ideal candidate has a strong affinity for logistics and is comfortable working in high-profile settings across different industries. The ideal candidate is socially adept, polished, grounded, and confident navigating a variety of professional and social environments, including exclusive events alongside the principals.
This role reports directly to the principals and involves approximately 20% domestic and international travel. The position may initially be performed remotely, with the expectation of relocation to the Chicagoland area by September 2027.
The anticipated schedule is approximately 35 hours per week. This is not a 24/7 mentality position, and the family values reasonable boundaries outside of working hours. Occasional evening messages or emails may be sent to communicate changes or priorities for the following day, with the expectation that these are reviewed at the start of the next workday rather than requiring an immediate response.
Travel is generally planned in advance, with a minimum of one week's notice and typically two weeks to one month. Candidates should be comfortable with both domestic and international travel and adaptable to the logistical needs of the family office.
