About the role

As a Software Engineer Senior Lead, you will provide technical leadership while designing and delivering reliable, secure and scalable software solutions. You will guide complex engineering work from design through production, partner with product and business teams, and help engineers make sound technical decisions. You will also strengthen development practices through thoughtful architecture, code quality, testing and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing and delivery of complex software solutions.

• Translate business needs into clear technical designs and practical implementation plans.

• Guide technical decisions related to architecture, performance, security, reliability and maintainability.

• Review code, resolve complex technical issues and improve engineering standards across the team.

• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, delivery and business partners throughout the software development lifecycle.

What you bring

Required qualifications

• Strong experience with FIS Systematics core banking technology.
• Strong experience designing, developing and supporting production software.
• Experience leading complex technical work and guiding engineers through design and delivery.

• Strong knowledge of software architecture, development practices, source control, automated testing and code review.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and recommend practical, sustainable solutions.

• Clear communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical partners.
• 10-15 years of relevant work experience

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based services, distributed systems or microservices.

• Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps practices.

• Experience improving software performance, security, scalability or operational reliability.
