Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- The Project Architect will be responsible for translating project requirements and specifications into clear, concise and detailed project documents
- As a member of the Design team, the Project Architect will help convey effective building ventures from the design concept through the completion of construction
- Support and guide team members within a team-building environment
- Coordinate with Project Manager at the onset of Design Development regarding design concept and scope
- Review Milestone schedule with PM to confirm schedule and commitment of content at various Milestones
- Be responsible for the technical content of the project documents
- Coordinate with the entire design team including coordination of specifications with the documents
- Be Responsible for managing and coordinating the Design / Build MEPFP Consultant Team
- Manage and participate in QC reviews
- Coordinate with Construction PM during Construction
- Manage construction phase site visits
- Manage RFI and shop drawing distribution and tracking with the Project Lead
- Coordinate with Permit Coordinator for document management, submittals, etc. (includes drawings, RFI and Shop Drawings)
- Coordinate with Field Services Manager regarding construction status and ongoing construction issues
- Pursue solutions to assigned tasks and develops appropriate research and documentation to support these solutions.
- Create and uphold client assurance in our team and operations by sustaining a high quality of proficiency, responsibility, and execution
- Contribute to presentations of plans and documents to governing and permitting authorities for land use, zoning and permit approvals
Qualifications
- You have earned a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited program.
- You have 5+ years of experience with at least 3+ years focused on design and planning preferred.
- Experience with large-scale multi-family, hospitality, student housing or commercial projects is required.
- Architectural license required.
- You are more than proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
- You’re an innovative thinker with the ability to articulate and present creative ideas.
- You have the ability to provide high class, responsive design solutions and documentation for construction in a range of styles with a proven ability to deliver excellent client service.
- You demonstrate excellence in 3-D building massing conceptualization.
- You have the ability to work individually and as a team member.
- You have excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- You have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to perform in client presentations.
- You are energetic, ambitious and with a strong work ethic to consistently meet project design and performance goals.
