Nortons is looking for a professional and responsible Dishwasher for our daily restaurant operations.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all items are organized and stored properly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Support kitchen staff by bussing tables and clearing away used dishes during busy service periods.
- Adhere to health and safety standards by following proper sanitation procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Participate in regular cleaning tasks, including deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and areas.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with culinary practices, catering operations, or hospitality settings is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Willingness to learn and assist in various kitchen tasks as needed.
