General Summary:

The Product Manager, Enterprise Asset Management, will be responsible for defining product roadmaps, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring that product solutions meet both business needs and user expectations, while aligning with the department’s overall strategy. The scope includes providing comprehensive product management support for a wide range of enterprise applications, including Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), inventory and materials management, Vertical Lift Modules (VLM) in DART facilities, and mobile versions of these enterprise applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and maintain product roadmaps for enterprise applications, including Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), inventory and materials management, Vertical Lift Modules (VLM) in DART facilities, and mobile versions of these enterprise applications.
  • Coordinate with the Technology leadership to ensure that the product roadmaps are aligned with the departmental and organizational goals.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful product development and delivery.
  • Ensure that product solutions address business needs and meet user expectations.
  • Develop, prioritize, and refine product features based on stakeholder input and business requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to identify and implement improvements.
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
  • Lead and manage initiatives for system upgrades, new implementations, and application integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.
  • Create and deliver training materials and support resources for end-users and internal teams.
  • Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Facilitate communication between Technology and business units to drive product success.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Oversee application architecture to ensure alignment with security and data standards.
  • Manage secure data integration and exchange between enterprise systems.
  • Lead change management processes and efforts to ensure smooth business transitions as products evolve and change.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction through effective support and communication.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain the relevance of enterprise applications.
  • Continuously assess the performance of enterprise applications and provide regular updates to leadership, offering insights and recommendations for future enhancements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in developing and managing product roadmaps, enterprise application architecture, or strategy for enterprise applications.
  • Valid Texas Class A, B, or C driver’s license, no Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) conviction within the last sixty (60) consecutive months, not more than one (1) DWI on driving record, and not more than three (3) convictions of moving violations within the last thirty-six (36) months in order to operate DART non-revenue vehicles, or drive in the course and scope of job.
  • Proficiency of PC software applications to include Microsoft Office or other related software applications.
  • Proficient in task scoping, project management, problem-solving, resource management, and understanding budget and cost factors.
  • Pass a physical (medical) examination that includes a drug screen in order to operate DART non-revenue vehicles, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Skilled in handling conflicts constructively, and negotiating agreements.
  • Must be able to work variable hours, to include emergency response to outages.
  • Must be able to perform work from remote locations as needed.
  • Must be able to work in an on-call rotation.
  • Must maintain all certification(s) required for this position.
  • Knowledge of budget development/analysis, and operational cost factors.
  • Analytical and creative skills to find solutions to complex interpersonal, technical and administrative problems.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
