Description
On behalf of our client, an international group of companies headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, Emerald Zebra is searching for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the group's financial strategy from its Cyprus head office.

Core activities span LPG, logistics, and investment projects, with operations across Cyprus, the UAE, Romania, Bulgaria, and Ukraine and a total headcount exceeding 150 employees. This position reports directly to the owner of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting across the organisation.
- Manage liquidity, capital adequacy, and treasury operations to ensure financial stability.
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure accuracy and compliance with international regulatory bodies.
- Deliver clear and timely financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with audit, tax, and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Work on an ongoing basis with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and legal advisors.
- Manage and supervise the investment portfolio, evaluating performance and optimising the asset structure.
- Contribute to M&A strategies and evaluate the financial implications of strategic transactions.
Candidate Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in senior financial leadership roles.
- Higher education in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Strong finance and accounting background.
- An MBA from a European-accredited business school and/or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) qualification is mandatory; alternatively, candidates without a European MBA/CMA must hold a higher education degree obtained in Europe.
- CAP, ACCA, or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification will be considered a strong advantage.
- Proven track record in managing financial reporting, P&L, and cash flow in a regulated environment.
- Experience with capital adequacy planning and financial controls.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of cross-border finance and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with cross-jurisdiction reporting requirements (EU, offshore).
- Fluent English and fluent Russian are required. Greek is an advantage.
Remuneration
The salary range for this position is EUR 70,000 to EUR 120,000 per annum gross, depending on experience. Potential bonuses and incentive schemes will be discussed directly with the company owner during the interview process.
