M43 - Full Stack Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Platform & Full Stack Engineer to help build a modern grants platform that digitises and automates the administration of grant schemes. You will design and develop scalable cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, system integrations, and workflow services that power end-to-end grant processing.

Working within an agile engineering team, you will leverage cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and GovTech platforms to deliver reliable, secure, and observable digital services. This role combines infrastructure engineering with application development and integration, making it ideal for engineers who enjoy working across the full technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure for development, staging, and production environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, release, and deployment processes.
• Containerise applications using Docker and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, OpenTofu or similar).
• Design and implement workflows, business rules, and decision services using workflow automation platforms such as Opus.
• Build and maintain secure, reliable system integrations using APIs to orchestrate data between multiple applications and platforms.
• Develop, integrate, test, and maintain full-stack software components and services.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure platform reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Design scalable solution architectures and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance platform capabilities.
• Prepare technical specifications and provide hands-on technical support throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in an agile environment to deliver high-quality digital solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and container platforms such as Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or equivalent.
• Experience implementing DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI.
• Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, or OpenTofu.
• Experience designing and building API integrations and distributed system workflows with a focus on reliability, security, and traceability.
• Working knowledge of modern web technologies such as React and Node.js.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred

• Experience working with Singapore Government cloud environments, SGTS infrastructure, or GovTech platforms such as SHIP-HATS, Opus, GatherSG, or ApplySG.
• Experience designing solutions for complex, large-scale enterprise systems.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving engineering environment and contributing to engineering best practices.
• Interest in adopting emerging technologies, including AI, to improve digital products and engineering processes.
