The Role

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you'll be at the front line of the company's growth, opening doors to decision-makers at PE firms, insurers and financial services businesses across the UK and US.

  • Outreach – You'll run high-volume outbound campaigns, blending phone, email and LinkedIn to get in front of the right people – this is a proper cold-calling role.
  • Research – You'll dig into target accounts and decision-makers before you reach out, so every conversation lands with relevance.
  • Qualify Opportunities – You'll uncover pain points, confirm budget and urgency, and book meetings that are genuinely ready to progress.
  • Use Top-Tier Tools – You'll work with a modern sales stack – power dialers, sales engagement platforms, AI-powered prospecting – to work smarter, not just harder.
  • Collaborate – You'll work closely with Account Executives, learning first-hand how enterprise deals get won.

What Are They Looking For?

Essential:

  • Sharp Communicator – Concise, direct and confident – you get to the point rather than talking around it.
  • Curious and Proactive – You do your own research and genuinely enjoy understanding a business before you pick up the phone.
  • Coachable – You actively seek out feedback and adjust fast – ego has no place here.
  • Autonomous and Scrappy – You're comfortable figuring things out rather than waiting to be told exactly what to do.
  • Comfortable with AI – You already use AI tools creatively in daily life, not just to draft the odd email.

Desirable:

  • Strong Academic Background – Russell Group or equivalent top-tier university; STEM, finance or business degrees are a plus but not required.
  • Commercial Experience – Some previous sales or client-facing experience is helpful, though not essential – attitude matters more.
  • Relevant Sector Knowledge – A background in private markets or financial services is a strong plus.
