Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $61.54 - $93.89. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

Job Qualifications

Education Requirements: Advanced Degree MD or PhD or alternative route to obtaining a NYSDOH Certificate of Qualification

Licensures Required: New York State Certificate of Qualification for Laboratory Directorship

Certifications Preferred: Board Certification

Minimum Year Experience Preferred:  2+ years in a hospital-based clinical laboratory or reference laboratory.

SKILLS – Required

•            Proven work experience as a Clinical Laboratory Director or similar role.

•            Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.

•            Experience with quality assurance and health and safety guidelines.

•            Familiarity with automated laboratory systems.

•            Exceptional leadership and management skills.

•            Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

•            Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
