What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Houseperson will support the Housekeeping team in maintaining exceptional cleanliness, organization, and efficiency throughout the property. This essential role involves handling linen distribution, public area upkeep, heavy lifting, laundry support, and assisting Room Attendants to ensure guest rooms and common spaces meet luxury resort standards.

Key Responsibilities

• •           Assist room attendants with tasks to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms and public areas.
• •           Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and calls.
• •           Handle laundry tasks, including the proper use of laundry chemicals and formulas, while understanding their effects on various types of linen.
• •           Prioritize and organize workload efficiently.
• •           Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, or pulling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
• •           Lift bundles of linen weighing over 75 lbs and push/pull wheeled carts weighing the same or more.
• •           Linen & Supply Logistics: Collect soiled linens and trash from guest floors; stock housekeeping closets with clean linens to maintain par levels.
• •           Property Cleanliness: Clean corridors, elevators, stairwells, and back-of-house zones through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• •           Attendant & Guest Support: Deliver guest amenities (cribs, rollaway beds), strip guestroom beds, and execute deep-cleaning floor care projects.
• •           Laundry Assistance: Support the laundry team by sorting, pre-treating, loading, folding, and safely applying laundry chemicals.
• •           Safety & Maintenance: Keep storage closets organized, follow chemical handling rules, and report maintenance issues or linen damage promptly.
• •           Other duties may be assigned as business need demands.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals (following safety guidelines), varying temperatures, and occasional outdoor areas.

What are we looking for?

1-2 years prior experience as Houseperson or Houseman required

•           Additional 3-4 years of Hospitality experience required.

•           Working knowledge of laundry chemicals and their application is preferred.

•           Basic ability to comprehend and communicate in English to understand safety labels, instructions, and guest requests.

•           High School diploma preferred.

•           Laundry experience is a plus.

•           Must be able to handle large volume and variety of requests while maintaining attention to detail, plus good judgement in making decisions

•           Will be required to occasionally be required to lift and/or move items 25-50 pounds

•           Must be able to work well under pressure, remain calm and can resolve problems

•           Must be able to work flexible schedule including late evenings, weekends and public holidays
