KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. The individual will be part of a team responsible for supporting the growth of the firm’s alternatives business. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong fit with the team, with the ability to embrace the team’s investment philosophy and process.
2. The candidate will have the desire to grow in the alternative investments industry, have a strong background in financial analysis and transaction execution, excellent writing skills, be self-motivated with excellent time management skills to prioritise deadlines, and have a strong work ethic.
3. This is an important role with a number of key responsibilities, including:
- Analysing and evaluating potential managers according to identified criteria.
- Identifying key investment merits and risks through research and financial analysis.
- Assisting with all aspects of due diligence activities, including investment, operational, and ESG due diligence.
- Reviewing information provided by potential managers and preparing follow-up information requests.
- Preparing internal papers on potential managers.
- Project management and execution of live transactions, including reviewing legal documentation and liaising with external counsels, tax advisors, and internal support teams.
- Preparing update presentations for the internal team.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- 2-6 years of alternatives investment experience, primarily within a fund-of-funds role (funds and co-investments).
- Investment banking or consulting experience is a plus.
- Strong and appropriate academic qualifications.
- Superior analytical and execution skills. Strong proven experience in financial analysis, financial modelling, due diligence, and transaction execution.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in small project teams.
- Ability to identify key investment merits, risks, and potential mitigants.
- Highly motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to develop concise presentations.
- Team player with positive attitude and high integrity.
