Thornton Tomasetti, Inc. seeks Senior Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL to prepare analysis and designs for building elements and systems. Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing waterproofing membranes in the protection of building components; interpreting specifications for the repair and waterproofing of buildings and structures to be used in the bidding and construction permitting phased; conducting construction administration field documentation, reporting, processing of payment applications, change orders and field directives; documenting existing building and structural deficiencies to prepare reports; implementing International Building Code (IBC), Florida Building Code, Florida Existing Buildings Code, Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures (ASCE 7), Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete (ACI 318), Specification for Structural Steel Buildings (AISC 360), Special Design Provisions for Wind,  IEBC – International Existing Building Code, and ACI 562 – Code Requirements for Assessment, Repair, and Rehabilitation of Existing Concrete Structures. 5% travel required domestically.  Qualified applicants please submit resumes to HR, Thornton Tomasetti, Inc. 120 Broadway, NY, NY 10271 & indicate job code XL06042026EW.
