Description
## Your Role
We are looking for an **Electrical Integration Engineer / Elektrokonstrukteur** (m/f/d) to support the development of our containerized Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) platform. You will focus on **electrical documentation, switching cabinet design, cable routing, and the interface between ECAD and mechanical design**, helping ensure a smooth workflow from **EPLAN through SolidWorks Electrical into SolidWorks Mechanical**.
You will work closely with the mechanical team, system engineering, and others to deliver robust, implementation-ready design data and integration concepts. The role is part of the **BESS development team** and supports system integration within STABL’s BESS architecture, including **STABL’s multilevel inverter technology**.
## Your mission
- Create, maintain, and improve **electrical schematics, wiring documentation, and design packages in EPLAN** for BESS products and subsystems.
- Support the **design and layout of switching cabinets / electrical cabinets**, including component arrangement, wiring concepts, and implementation-ready documentation.
- Support the **integration workflow from EPLAN through SolidWorks Electrical into SolidWorks Mechanical**, ensuring consistent and usable design data across disciplines.
- Define and coordinate the **electrical-mechanical interface**, including connection points, installation requirements, space claims, and integration constraints.
- Develop and optimize **cable routing, cable packaging, and installation concepts** within containerized BESS systems.
- Support the definition and integration of **cables, connectors, fuses, protective devices, and related electrical hardware**.
- Work closely with the mechanical engineering team to ensure that electrical design inputs are correctly transferred into the mechanical environment.
- Support design iterations, prototype implementation, and product improvement by resolving practical integration issues between electrical and mechanical design.
- Contribute to documentation quality, engineering standards, and efficient handover into prototype build and industrialization.
**Note:** This role is focused on in-house product development and integration within the BESS platform.
## Your profile
- Engineering degree in **Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering**, or a similar technical field.
- 3–8 years of experience in a related technical field such as **ECAD design, electromechanical integration, switching cabinet design, electrical design, or product development of complex technical systems**.
- Strong hands-on experience with **EPLAN** and experience working with **SolidWorks Electrical** in an interdisciplinary engineering environment.
- Good understanding of **switching cabinet / electrical cabinet design**, electrical documentation, and implementation-oriented design.
- Good understanding of the **interface between ECAD and mechanical design**, ideally including collaboration with **SolidWorks Mechanical** workflows.
- Experience with **cable routing, electrical packaging, and electrical/mechanical interface definition**.
- Structured and pragmatic working style with the ability to coordinate across multiple technical disciplines.
- Experience in industrial equipment, energy systems, machinery, switchgear, or other complex engineered products is beneficial.
- Knowledge of EU Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) compliance and application of harmonized standards/documentation for CE conformity; familiarity with relevant VDE/DIN EN standards for low-voltage switchgear/controlgear assemblies and machine/control panel electrical equipment (e.g. **DIN EN IEC 61439-1/-2 (VDE 0660-600-1/-2)**, **DIN VDE 0100 (low-voltage installations)**, **DIN EN 60204-1 (VDE 0113-1) electrical equipment of machines**, **DIN EN IEC 60664-1 (VDE 0110-1) insulation coordination**; **EN/IEC 61140 protection against electric shock**).
## Language Skills
- Fluent German; Fluent English
