Description

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 
  • Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) or Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) License 
  • Electrical Safety Training 
  • Construction Safety Training (e.g., COSH) 
  • Testing and Commissioning Training 
  • Hydropower or Power Plant Electrical Systems Training 
  • High Voltage Switching and Safety Certification 
  • QA/QC Certification 
  • FIDIC Contract Awareness Training 
  • Experience in hydropower, pumped storage, power generation, or large infrastructure projects. Minimum 8 years 
  • Experience in electrical inspection and site supervision 
  • Experience with electrical auxiliary systems in power plants 
  • Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical systems 
  • Experience in installation of MV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, and auxiliary equipment 
  • Experience on Owner's Engineer or Supervision Consultant assignments 
  • International hydropower project experience 
  • Conduct daily inspection of electrical auxiliary systems installation works. 
  • Verify compliance of electrical works with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and contract requirements. 
  • Inspect installation of transformers, switchgear, batteries, UPS systems, cable trays, lighting systems, grounding systems, and auxiliary equipment. 
  • Witness electrical testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities. 
  • Monitor contractor compliance with quality requirements, inspection and test plans, and approved work methods. 
  • Identify and report non-conforming work, defects, and installation deficiencies. 
  • Participate in site safety inspections and ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements. 
  • Verify implementation of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other electrical safety measures. 
  • Maintain inspection records, testing reports, and site documentation. 
  • Assist in reviewing technical submissions, method statements, and as-built documentation. 
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, commissioning engineers, and supervision teams. 
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during installation and commissioning. 
  • Monitor progress of electrical auxiliary works and report schedule concerns. 
  • Assist in system acceptance, handover, and punch-list closure activities. 
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Resident Engineer, Electrical Lead Engineer, or Team Leader.
