Our corporate client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. This Mechanical Engineer will be in the plant providing advanced industrial maintenance and mechanical technical support for the continuous operation of equipment, machines, and mechanical processes throughout the plant. This is a permanent hire fee paid position by the employer

Responsibilities & Duties

• Comply with all safety and environmental requirements, policies, & procedures, including company's Code of Conduct
• Embrace and promote a healthy work culture in all daily activities
• Provide technical expertise & leadership.
• Offer assistance with mechanical design, development, testing, implementation, documentation of plant equipment, buildings and utilities.
• Prepare and/or review blueprints, drawings, schematics, and detailed equipment specifications
• Work with Production, Engineering, & Maintenance to ensure continuous operation of plant including testing and inspecting equipment regularly
• Will complete preventive maintenance checks on production equipment, machines, engines, motors, hydraulic valves, cylinders, pneumatic tools, & conveyor systems.
• Will troubleshoot and identify faulty machine and equipment through observation and testing metrics
• Will Remove, replace defective parts and/or equipment to restore operations and achieve maximum uptime and minimize production downtime.
• Will comply with all safety, environmental and code requirements when repairing equipment
• Source replacement parts in accordance with required specification
• Follow scheduled maintenance work order system and participate in planning of required maintenance mechanical support during scheduled outages
• Support preventative maintenance training of non-maintenance team members
• Understand roles and responsibilities in support of production team’s operational goals and metrics
• Utilize principals of lean manufacturing, including 6S, to support operational and process improvements
