Description

## Your tasks

As _**Social Impact Entrepreneur in Residence (m/f/d)**_ you will be responsible for establishing the operational, legal, financial, and organisational foundations of the _Changemaker Foundation_, an independent non-profit initiative created by KoRo and partners (including KOA) to build fully traceable, sustainable agricultural supply chains and support the transition to diversified agroforestry systems. Embedded within KoRo for an **initial 6-12 months**, your mission is to turn this initiative into a fully operational, independent organisation ready to scale.

## What You Will Do:

  • **Business model & financial viability:** Validate and develop the funding model, including premiums, grants, partner contributions, and long-term financial sustainability.
  • **Agroforestry system development:** Assess and refine the diversified agroforestry model, ensuring farmer feasibility, economic viability, scalability, and realistic implementation.
  • **Commercial model & scaling:** Design the commercial framework in collaboration with KoRo, enabling initial product sourcing and creating a scalable blueprint for onboarding future partners.
  • **Traceability & certification:** Ensure end-to-end traceability, audit readiness, and alignment with certification and reporting standards.
  • **Legal & organizational setup:** Define governance, legal structure, compliance, HR setup, contracts, and reporting frameworks.
  • **Operations & partnerships:** Build the operating model across foundation, farmers, processors, buyers, and manage key partner relationships (including KOA and KoRo stakeholders).
  • **Impact measurement:** Define KPIs and reporting systems for impact, transparency, and donor requirements.
  • **Risk management:** Identify key risks and develop mitigation strategies to support strategic decisions.
  • **Fundraising & business development:** Lead fundraising across grants, donors, and strategic partners, build a pipeline of corporate “changemakers,” and structure commercial participation mechanisms.
  • **Team building:** Recruit initial team members and prepare the setup for an independent organizational launch.

## Success Criteria after 6-12 Months:

  • Foundation fully established and operational as an independent-ready entity
  • Governance and compliance framework defined and implemented
  • Business model validated with first implementation step taken.
  • Funding model confirmed (grants, donors, and/or commercial streams)
  • DAF and traceability model designed and validated with agency and or field expert
  • Operational model defined, including key processes and responsibilities
  • Certification and impact reporting pathway established
  • First hires prepared, with key roles and profiles defined
  • Foundation ready for independent launch

## Your profile

  • You have proven experience building or scaling a venture, non-profit, or foundation from the ground up (incl. governance, legal setup, hiring, and operations)
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen (business modelling, unit economics, P&L, blended finance models combining grants and commercial revenue)
  • Track record in fundraising and/or strategic partnerships across grants, donors, and commercial partners, including structuring hybrid revenue models (fees, premiums, volume commitments)
  • Domain expertise in at least one area such as sustainable agriculture, supply chain traceability, certification, or impact reporting
  • Experience managing diverse stakeholders (corporates, NGOs, farmer organizations, donors)
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with high comfort in ambiguity and building from scratch
  • Strong ownership and execution focus with a bias for action and pragmatic decision-making
  • You are confident representing an organization externally and engaging credibly with donors, partners, and certification bodies
  • You have a passion for sustainable agriculture, regenerative systems, and building impactful, nature-positive supply chains
  • You are based in Germany, with willingness to work in a cross-functional, international context
  • English is business fluent (required); German is a strong plus

## What you can expect from us

  • High ownership from day one in a venture-building environment with direct access to senior leadership and key decision-makers
  • Close collaboration with cross-functional teams to shape and implement the Foundation’s first operating model and supply chain use case
  • Strong learning curve through deep exposure to KoRo’s commercial, supply chain and impact structures
  • Flexible, trust-based working setup with hybrid work options and modern infrastructure
  • Fast-paced, impact-driven culture with a strong bias toward execution and real-world implementation
  • Standard employee perks such as product discounts, office amenities and team events (within the first months)

## Sounds good?

Then apply via our website, including your CV, cover letter and all relevant documents.

This is not a typical role. It’s a chance to help build a foundation from the ground up. If that excites you, tell us briefly who you are and what drives you to take on this challenge.
