Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring data downloaded daily from E-Bopess to the Cash BOP system for FCY and MYR data is accurate, and checking to ensure the correctness of data submitted to BNM. Operating within Maker and Checker capacities, the role focuses on attending to partial transactions from other banks, responding to queries from BNM on ITIS data, and ensuring branch compliance with submission timelines.
The successful candidate will report to the Manager of BOP Unit
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Functional (job responsibilities)
Ensure data is downloaded daily from E-Bopess to the Cash BOP system for FCY and MYR data.
Verify the correctness of information on Cash BOP transactions for both Conventional and Islamic daily data before submitting to BNM.
Verify the correctness of monthly reporting data before submitting to BNM, and ensure all monthly reports are updated and submitted before the 15th of every month.
Assist and advise branches on any incomplete or wrong data submitted to BNM.
Monitor and ensure branches update outstanding Form P (outbound payments from residents to non-residents) and Form R (inbound receipts from non-residents to residents) within the required timeline.
Ensure that correct purpose codes are assigned to these cross-border fund flows and that required supporting documentation is provided by branches accordingly.
Supervise and ensure all partial transactions from other banks are attended to closely, and ensure all queries from BNM regarding ITIS data are attended to immediately.
Jobholder Requirements
Malaysian citizen.
Education/Qualification
Possess a minimum of a Diploma or above.
Experience/Requirements
Related working experience in a Financial Institution or related field.
Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
