Job Posting Title: Accountant Analyst
Title: Accountant
Location: Warsaw office - hybrid with mandatory 3 days in office schedule
Grade: 10
Position Summary.
- Assist with accounting integration; Map local accounting records to corporate ledger and upload periodic trial balance activity; lead integration accounting workflow status reporting.
- Consistently look at process and identify opportunities for improvement/streamlining.
- Responsible for month-end close activities, including closing subledgers, preparing accruals, recording journal entries, reviewing account trends, and providing analysis as required.
- Manage daily accounting operations to ensure the accuracy of general ledger. Review flux and trend analyses of financial statements data monthly.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations. Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to determine the proper accounting treatment of business transactions and resolve any aging items.
- Support internal and external audits, as well as external reporting activities.
- Assess current SOX controls to ensure adequacy. Identify and implement any new controls on existing or new processes, including updating/creating process documentation, collaborating with business process owners, etc.
- Interpret and apply financial policies and procedures for each organization; encourage and monitor compliance.
- Review complex and unusual transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and relative disclosures.
- Lead ad hoc projects and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of two years relevant work experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Systems aptitude with strong Office 365 and Excel skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed CPA or Chartered Accountant or Candidate
- Industry / Corporate Accounting experience
- Experience from Big Four Firms or Public Accounting
- Experience with Oracle ERP (On-prem and Cloud) or SAP Business Objects.
- Experience with QuickBooks and Workiva applications
