ABOUT USFor over 30 years, Swainston Consulting Group (formerly Project Managment Consulting) has been providing expert consulting services to public and private owners, design professionals, contractors, and attorneys.  Swainston Consulting Group has worked on many projects whose estimated worth ranges from hundreds of thousands of dollars to hundreds of millions.  Swainston has the industry experience, commitment and proven results to see your project through to completion.As a multi-disciplined construction management and engineering consulting firm, Swainston Consulting Group can provide the innovative solutions and proactive support that you need to deliver your project on time and on budget.  We assist clients in all construction industries by identifying, analyzing, quantifying, and presenting construction claims that may arise throughout the project. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS15+ years of experience providing detailed reports on complex construction/engineering projectsBS degree in engineering, construction management or related field (graduate degree a plus)Analytical research and forensic engineering/cost analysis skills, as well as strong construction industry experience including delay, scheduling, cost, claims and loss analysis a mustExpert witness testimony experience preferredStrong communications skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently, as well as collaboratively with colleaguesPossess team-oriented mindset, thrive in collaborative environmentsPE license and other certifications are desirablePossess a proven track record of business development including established clients Responsibilities:Allocate company resources for all projectsLead the production team to measured successManage and track all job budgets, weekly WIP, and production metricsVerify and approve invoices for completed work.Interface with local building officials, trade partners, architects, engineers, and clientsCollaborate with sales and design on new projectsLead estimating efforts for accurate construction budget and budget adherenceNegotiate with trade partners to receive reasonable change order costs and place ordersEvaluate shop drawings and bids for I-Joists, trusses, windows, doors, & structural and architectural elements.Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specificationsEnsure that all projects and purchasing/inventory functions are completed in a correct, cost-effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirementsImprove operational systems, processes, and best practices that guarantee the organizational well-beingContribute towards the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational objectivesHelp Maintain, create, and implement standard processes and practices across all jobsUse creative problem-solving skills to resolve construction and budget issues.Train new employees and contractors as neededHire and fire staff as needed Benefits:Salary plus a significant profit sharing bonus planCompany vehicleHealth, dental and vision insurance401K and profit sharing pension plansPaid parental leaveGenerous vacation, sick and holidays time offContinuing education
