Role Summary
The MTS advances thin film process development for NAND cell film by leading project initiatives, executing complex experiments, conducting material characterization, and supporting process integration/fixing, while promoting manufacturability and continuous improvement. Operates as a key technical contributor delivering measurable results at department/site level; mentors early-career staff aligned to TLP entry expectations; strengthens SOP/knowledge systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead project-level initiatives for cell film process development; execute complex experiments and integration support under senior guidance.
- Maintain thorough records; prepare comprehensive technical reports; participate in multi-functional problem solving; drive continuous improvement and optimization.
- Contribute to guidelines/SOPs/knowledge management; stay current on emerging technologies and advances in thin film processing/characterization.
Other Responsibilities
- Mentor early-career engineers and provide leadership aligned with senior technical expectations.
- Support continuous improvement and optimization of existing processes.
- Integrates AI assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- PhD ≥8 yrs, or Master’s ≥11 yrs, or Bachelor’s ≥13 yrs of relevant experience in
Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field,
- Experience in thin film R&D for microelectronic devices, with demonstrated contributions to complex technology development
- Familiarity with electrical test methods and fab metrology tool
Must-Have Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with ALD/CVD thin film processes for microelectronic devices, including recipe setup, process tuning, monitoring, and fixing in an R&D or fab environment.
- Proficient in film and fab metrology tools (e.g., ellipsometry, XRR, SEM/TEM, CD‑SEM, thickness measurement, particle counters) to support process monitoring, defect analysis, and yield improvement.
- Solid understanding of process integration, with the ability to use SPC, DOE, and root cause analysis to optimize processes, resolve excursions, and implement corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of NAND cell structures, basic device physics, plasma processes, vacuum systems, and chemical reactions, with the ability to relate process conditions to material and device behavior.
- Experience supporting technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing, developing SOPs and documentation, and communicating technical findings clearly across cross‑functional teams while adhering to safety and quality standards.
