To strengthen our Marketing Department, we're looking for someone to take ownership of our Event Sponsorships Program and coordinate Cardmarket's participation at conventions. As part of the Marketing Department, this role combines project management, event operations, and partnership coordination. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless convention presence while building and managing relationships with organizers seeking sponsorship support.
Your Responsibilities
Convention & Event Management
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Cardmarket's participation at conventions, trade fairs, and other industry events
- Own and manage all event-related projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and deliverables are met
- Coordinate booth logistics, including stand design, equipment, shipping, staffing, and onsite operations
- Collaborate closely with the Corporate, Product, and Video Marketing teams to align objectives and requirements
- Manage relationships with event organizers, vendors, and other external partners
- Monitor event budgets and expenses to ensure cost-effective participation
- Conduct post-event evaluations and reporting, including performance analysis, stakeholder feedback, and recommendations for improvement
- Take end-to-end ownership of the Cardmarket Event Sponsorships Program
- Review and evaluate sponsorship applications from tournament organizers and other eligible partners
- Maintain sponsorship guidelines and ensure all promotional requirements and partnership obligations are fulfilled
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsored partners before, during, and after their events
- Track sponsorship outcomes, collect event reports, and measure overall program effectiveness
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizers and event partners to further strengthen Cardmarket's presence within the trading card game community
Your profile
- At least 5 years of experience in planning and executing conventions, community events, partnership initiatives, or sponsorship programs
- Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail
- Solid understanding of event logistics, vendor management, and onsite operations
- Proven ability to negotiate and collaborate with external service providers and event partners
- Ability to analyze event performance data and derive actionable insights from reports
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English
- A self-motivated, reliable, and highly organized working style
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for events when required
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for events, partnerships, and community engagement
- Active involvement in the trading card game community through in-person events, either currently or in the past. Experience with TCGs of any kind is required
- Presence in Berlin is required!
- Valid work permit for Germany is necessary!
