Description

Our Mission & Our Work, in Brief

Cancer is the number one cause of death for commercially insured Americans and the top cost driver for health plans. And, cancer patients are struggling.

CancerNavigator is a white-glove, end-to-end, cancer support service for patients and their families. We work with health plans across the country to provide 1-1 support to members facing a cancer diagnosis. Our support is delivered through dedicated Oncology Certified Nurses, who help members get to fantastic experts for their care and help them through the thousands of other problems that arise across the cancer journey.

Join us to serve cancer patients in their hour of need.

The “Product & Operations” Role

Central to Patient Impact and Business Success:

As we scale the number of Americans who have access to our service, the responsibility to reach those patients compounds. This role will be laser focused on that goal: how to engage as many patients in their hour of need as possible, maximizing our patient impact. As CancerNavigator operates on a utilization-based model, engagement is also the primary lever to drive business performance. The “Product & Operations” team sits at the center of the company’s potential to maximize patient and business impact.

Structure and Team:

This Product & Operations role will sit alongside a Product & Operations Manager and will be focused on the builds and improvements needed to drive high engagement and impact of the patient service. They will report directly to the President, and they will work closely with cross-functional leaders, particularly the Head of Client Success and the Director of Patient Service.

Daily Work:

The daily work of this role will be: 1) highly cross functional 2) analytical and 3) sprint-based in nature. This hire will be constantly assessing ground-level insights from various teams (patient service, client success, data) to identify opportunities to increase patient engagement and impact. Sprints will focus on one area of the service (for instance, how can we reach patients as soon as possible?) to identify solutions, set up tests, and then implement the best solution. They will need to be an operational builder, not only identifying the problems, but also building solutions and executing full builds.

The Requirements

The right person for this role is a self-motivated, data-driven problem-solver who is excited to join a mission-driven firm and be a foundational part of growing the company’s success. CancerNavigator is a small company that’s evolving quickly, so evidence of entrepreneurial agility, flexibility, and grit is important, but high levels of EQ and humility are equally valued. More specifically, we are looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years in healthcare technology or healthcare services, working in a product, operations, or member growth / engagement focused role
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems through data, identify and implement possible solutions, and track outcomes to measure success
  • Demonstrated ability to solve cross-functional problems and contribute autonomously
  • Strong sense of responsibility for patient and business outcomes
  • Strong project management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel for team in-person sprints (projected 20%)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary and stock option package
  • Performance-based incentive compensation
  • Remote-first work; live where you want within the U.S.
  • All-company on-sites 2-3 times per year
  • Medical and Dental Insurance (80% employer paid), Vision Insurance (100% employer paid)
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care FSA
  • Group Life and AD&D Insurance (involuntary with the option to buy-up coverage)
  • Unlimited PTO

Our Culture & Values, In Brief

We’re building a company where what we do matters. The goal couldn’t be clearer – serve cancer patients. As the business grows, and the work becomes more complex, we need to become more, not less, committed to why we are doing this.

We have three company values, which guide our company:

  1. Patients first, always: In everything we do, we put the cancer patient (and their families) first; we exist to serve them in their most urgent moments.
  2. Respect for our responsibility: We strive, as a team, to respect the gravity of the responsibility we bear to patients, always acting and producing in a way that is worthy of the trust they have placed in us.
  3. Kindness to and respect for others: We treat our teammates well, no exceptions. We are one team.

At CancerNavigator, we believe a well-rounded and diverse team is a key to our success. We never discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status.
