Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Tablet Patrol in Burlington, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism. You will use communication and customer service skills while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team at Allied Universal that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and incident information accurately.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Preferred: Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred: Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Preferred: Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
