Description

Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Schaumburg, IL to provide individualized instruction and support while partnering with teachers, families, and school teams to help students succeed.
Position Overview
- Provide specialized instruction, accommodations, and curriculum modifications to students with disabilities in alignment with IEP goals and services across Pre-K–8 settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, administrators, related service providers, and instructional assistants to support inclusive instruction and students’ least restrictive environment.
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate IEP documentation and data, and use evidence-based instructional, behavioral, and assistive technology strategies to address individual learning needs.
- Support the implementation of behavior plans and participate in ongoing professional development related to special education, inclusive practices, and child development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs through IEP implementation, differentiated instruction, accommodations/modifications, and collaborative service delivery
