Description
Account Executive – Healthcare Technology
Treatspace, Inc.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA – In Office
Department: Sales
Reports To: Director of Sales
Employment Type: Full-Time
About Treatspace
Treatspace helps independent medical practices, physician groups, and healthcare organizations improve patient access, referral coordination, online visibility, and measurable practice growth.
Our PracticeBeat product line supports thousands of providers by helping patients find, choose, and access care. We are now rebuilding our operating model around AI-native execution, agentic workflows, and outcome-driven growth.
We are not looking for someone to simply manage activity.
We are looking for someone who can close new business and help build a predictable sales-led growth motion.
The Role
Treatspace is hiring a hands-on Account Executive to drive new business and be the closing engine of our sales-led growth motion.
This person will own the full sales cycle from qualified opportunity to signed contract, converting demos into customers while helping the company build a more predictable, repeatable path to revenue. The immediate priority is to improve demo quality, demo-to-close conversion, and follow-up discipline while consistently hitting quota.
The team is getting activity and at-bats, but the motion is not yet predictable enough.
The highest-leverage problem is not simply taking more demos.
The highest-leverage problem is improving how we prepare, demo, follow up, convert, and close.
This role is for someone who has closed business in a sales-led growth motion before and knows how to turn a qualified opportunity into a signed customer, consistently.
What You'll Own
1. Core Sales Execution
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations to qualified medical practice prospects, showcasing PracticeBeat's comprehensive platform capabilities including SEO, patient acquisition tools, online scheduling, and reputation management
- Close new business by navigating complex sales cycles with practice owners, administrators, and decision-makers across various medical specialties
- Manage and nurture a pipeline of 50-75 active opportunities through a consultative sales approach that identifies practice pain points and positions appropriate solutions
- Negotiate contracts and pricing while maintaining healthy margins and ensuring successful long-term partnerships
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets including revenue goals, demo-to-close conversion rates, and new customer acquisition metrics
2. Demo-to-Close Improvement
- Own your attended-demo-to-close conversion, inspecting your own motion from pre-call research and qualification through discovery, objection handling, and close plan execution to diagnose why deals stall and adjust accordingly
- Maintain follow-up discipline and CRM hygiene throughout the deal cycle so nothing stalls from lack of attention
3. Pipeline Development & Prospecting
- Maintain full accountability for quota achievement by maximizing SDR partnerships and supplementing with strategic self-sourcing to ensure consistent pipeline flow
- Identify and pursue high-value prospects including specialty practices, multi-location groups, and practices with specific growth challenges
- Leverage social selling techniques and industry networks to build relationships with key healthcare decision-makers
- Research and understand practice-specific challenges including patient acquisition struggles, online presence gaps, and operational inefficiencies
4. Relationship Management & Consultation
- Build trusted advisor relationships with medical practice stakeholders by understanding their unique patient demographics, competition, and growth objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, customer success, and product development to ensure smooth customer onboarding and long-term satisfaction
- Maintain detailed CRM records and provide accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting
5. Sales Enablement and Proof
- Help build the proof points the sales team needs to move prospects from interest to commitment, including contributing to referenceable customers, case studies, and specialty-specific demo paths
6. AI-Enabled Sales Motion
- Treatspace is rebuilding around AI-native and agentic workflows. You will use AI and agent-supported tools for pre-call research, account scoring, and post-call summaries to make your sales process more intelligent, specific, and efficient
What Success Looks Like
In the first 30 days, you will:
- Get up to speed on the current plan of record, pipeline, and PracticeBeat platform, and begin taking qualified demos
- Build a working understanding of the ICP, competitive positioning, and common objections across specialties
- Begin building your own pipeline through self-sourced prospecting alongside SDR-sourced opportunities
In the first 60 days, you will:
- Tighten your own pre-call preparation, demo structure, follow-up discipline, and CRM hygiene
- Build momentum on a pipeline of 50-75 active opportunities
- Close your first deals and begin establishing a repeatable personal cadence for moving opportunities through the funnel
In the first 90 days, you will:
- Demonstrate measurable progress toward quota, with a healthy demo-to-close conversion rate
- Operate a consistent, disciplined sales cadence across pipeline generation, demos, and closing
- Identify what's working and flag any product, marketing, or operational support needed to keep scaling your results
Required Experience
We are looking for someone who has experience with:
- 3-10 years of B2B sales experience with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota in a consultative selling environment
- B2B SaaS sales and sales-led growth motions, including outbound SDR-to-AE handoffs within SMB or mid-market sales
- Technology sales background with the ability to demonstrate complex software platforms and articulate technical value propositions to non-technical buyers
- Proven closing ability with experience managing deals from demo through contract signature in competitive environments
- CRM proficiency with experience in Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms, including accurate pipeline management and forecasting
Healthcare experience is helpful but not required. Experience selling to independent medical practices, physician groups, healthcare SMBs, or similar owner/operator customers is a major plus.
The Right Person
The right candidate is a hands-on, metrics-driven closer who is comfortable with ambiguity and willing to dive into the details of their own pipeline. You should excel at consultative discovery, objection handling, and turning a qualified demo into a signed customer. You are focused on measurable revenue outcomes over vanity metrics, and you enjoy helping build the playbook rather than just inheriting a perfect one.
- Results-driven mindset with competitive spirit and consistent track record of quota achievement
- Intellectual curiosity about healthcare trends, practice management, and digital marketing evolution
- Relationship builder who creates lasting partnerships and generates referral opportunities
- Adaptability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes and product features
- Integrity and professionalism when representing Treatspace to healthcare professionals and practice stakeholders
- High-energy professional who brings enthusiasm and momentum to every prospect interaction and team collaboration
Compensation
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
- Uncapped commission structure with accelerated rates for over-achievement
- Total OTE: $160,000-$240,000+ for quota achievement and over-performance
Comprehensive Benefits Package
- 100% Employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage
- Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for additional healthcare expenses
- 100% Employer-paid Disability Insurance (Short Term and Long Term coverage)
- 100% Employer-paid Life and AD&D Insurance
- 401(k) Retirement Plan
- Flexible PTO policy and company holidays
- Professional development budget for training and conference attendance
Location
Required: Pittsburgh, PA (In Office)
