Are you passionate about helping clients navigate complexity and drive meaningful results? As the Senior Manager, Medicaid & Marketplace Client Strategy, you will lead a team of healthcare strategists who turn evolving policy, regulatory, quality, affordability, and market developments into actionable business strategies.
In this highly visible leadership role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to health plan and PBM clients, helping executives make informed decisions, anticipate change, and achieve their business goals. Responsibilities
Lead Strategic Client Partnerships
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Medicaid and Marketplace clients, delivering strategic guidance that helps them navigate industry change and achieve business objectives.
- Translate complex healthcare policy, regulatory, quality, affordability, and market developments into clear recommendations and actionable strategies.
- Facilitate executive-level discussions that support informed decision making and drive client success.
- Anticipate emerging trends, opportunities, and risks and proactively advise clients on business implications.
Drive Market Intelligence and Business Insights
- Monitor and interpret federal and state policy, legislative, and regulatory developments affecting Medicaid, Marketplace, and related healthcare markets.
- Deliver concise, decision-ready insights that help clients and internal partners respond strategically to industry changes.
- Contribute to organizational perspectives and recommendations that strengthen client outcomes and market positioning.
Support Client Growth and Organizational Success
- Partner with Account Management and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that create measurable value for clients.
- Strengthen client relationships through strategic consultation, thought leadership, and collaborative problem solving.
- Represent the organization in client meetings, executive presentations, and industry engagements.
Develop Talent and Build High-Performing Teams
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of strategists while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth.
- Strengthen team capabilities in strategic thinking, executive communication, consulting, and problem solving.
- Create an environment where curiosity, learning, and knowledge sharing are encouraged and rewarded.

Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, healthcare consulting, Medicaid, Marketplace, Medicare, PBM, healthcare policy, regulatory affairs, government affairs, or a related healthcare environment.
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.
- Experience working directly with clients, senior leaders, or executive stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and build strong partnerships.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of healthcare market dynamics.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt in a fast-changing environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a related field.
- Health plan experience supporting Medicaid, Marketplace, or Medicare lines of business.
- PBM experience.
- Healthcare strategy consulting experience.
- Experience in public policy, legislative affairs, regulatory affairs, or government relations.
- Experience developing executive-level presentations, recommendations, and strategic business cases.
- Experience using data, market intelligence, and industry insights to guide strategic decisions.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 140,300 - 233,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
