Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare items for shipment to customers by putting items in boxes or pallets and banding.
- Mark boxes of material with part numbers and job names.
- Move materials and items to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code in shipping and receiving area.
- Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for employee or customer traffic.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
- Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching packing lists.
- Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
- Keep an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: 1-2 years of related experience preferred
Necessary Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Computer knowledge as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge.
- Customer focused.
- Team oriented.
Other Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 75 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to a high noise level.
