Job Description Summary
As People Leader for Configuration Management Services in Hungary, you will lead and develop a growing team of configuration management professionals supporting service execution across Heavy-Duty and Aero technologies. You will help build a strong team culture, enable reliable delivery, strengthen standard work, and ensure that people, priorities, and processes are aligned with business needs. This role combines people leadership, operational ownership, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement. What you’ll do
Lead, coach, and develop the Hungarian Configuration Management Services team, creating clarity on priorities, roles, expectations, and development needs.
Build a strong team culture based on trust, accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Translate business priorities into clear team objectives and ensure daily work is aligned with Configuration Management Services goals and customer needs.
Oversee workload, capacity, delivery performance, and quality to support reliable execution across configuration management activities.
Partner with technical leaders, project stakeholders, service teams, and global Configuration Management colleagues to resolve priorities, risks, and escalations.
Support hiring, onboarding, capability building, performance management, and succession planning for the Hungarian team.
Drive standard work, knowledge sharing, process discipline, and practical improvements that increase speed, quality, and transparency.
Lead with integrity, customer focus, ownership, and respect, reflecting the GE Vernova Way in daily leadership practices.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in engineering, business, operations, or a related field.
Relevant leadership experience, such as direct people leadership, team coordination, project leadership, or operational leadership in an engineering, service, manufacturing, or technical environment.
Ability to develop people, provide clear feedback, support performance discussions, and create individual growth plans.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build alignment across cultures, functions, and time zones.
Structured operating rhythm, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to manage multiple topics with clarity and follow-through.
Professional proficiency in English.

Experience leading engineering teams in a global matrix organization.
Familiarity with configuration management, product data, bills of material, engineering documentation, service engineering, or spare parts processes.
Demonstrated ability to build team engagement, create psychological safety, and lead through change.
Experience implementing standard work, visual management, team operating rhythms, or continuous improvement practices.
Ability to connect people leadership with operational performance, customer impact, and long-term capability building.
Hungarian language skills are a plus.
A willingness to learn the Configuration Management Services environment, supported by onboarding, coaching, and collaboration with experienced colleagues.
