As we open our new Texas plant, we are seeking a Parts Assembly Supervisor to establish and lead our Parts Assembly department. The Parts Assembly Supervisor will play a critical role in overseeing the assembly of component parts, subassemblies, and precision aluminum housing components that support our power generation products. We design and build backup power packages, including tanks and enclosures, for healthcare, industrial, and technology-driven customers that require uninterrupted power at all times. Job Summary
The Parts Assembly Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a team of Assembly Technicians responsible for the manufacture and assembly of component parts, subassemblies, and precision aluminum housing components used in power generation packages and enclosures.
This role provides daily leadership, technical support, production oversight, and workforce development to ensure products are assembled safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to quality standards. The Parts Assembly Supervisor works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Operations teams to drive performance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and achieve departmental goals.
As the Texas facility continues to expand, this position will play an important role in building a high-performing assembly team, establishing standardized work practices, and supporting operational excellence throughout the organization.
Essential Job Functions
Production Leadership & Execution
· Supervise daily assembly operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives are achieved.
· Coordinate work assignments and staffing to support production schedules and customer commitments.
· Monitor workflow and identify production constraints, resource needs, and process improvement opportunities.
· Ensure products are assembled according to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and company standards.
· Analyze production issues as they arise and escalate concerns appropriately.
· Communicate production status, challenges, and priorities to management and support departments.
· Ensure efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.
· Monitor departmental performance and drive improvements in efficiency and throughput.
Team Leadership & Employee Development
· Train, coach, mentor, and lead Assembly Technicians to achieve department objectives.
· Establish and communicate clear performance expectations related to safety, quality, attendance, and productivity.
· Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
· Support employee development, onboarding, and cross-training initiatives.
· Recognize employee accomplishments and address performance concerns in a timely manner.
· Promote employee engagement and positive working relationships throughout the department.
· Identify future leaders and support career development opportunities.
· Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
· Monitor assembly quality and ensure adherence to established procedures and requirements.
· Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve production and quality concerns.
· Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
· Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Ensure assembly processes are standardized and consistently followed.
· Support implementation of best practices and operational improvements.
· Utilize performance data and departmental metrics to drive continuous improvement efforts.
Safety & Compliance
· Promote and enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
· Ensure employees use required PPE and follow safe work practices.
· Identify and address unsafe conditions and behaviors.
· Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas.
· Support safety audits, training, and compliance initiatives.
· Promote a culture where safety remains a top operational priority.
· Ensure employees understand and follow company procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Minimum 3 years of manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or industrial production experience.
· Minimum 2 years of supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
· Experience with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment.
· Strong leadership and employee development skills.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Ability to build productive working relationships across departments.
· Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
Highly Preferred
· Experience leading assembly operations in a manufacturing environment.
· Experience with precision assembly, subassemblies, and manufacturing processes.
· Experience supporting startup operations, plant expansions, or new facility launches.
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Experience coordinating labor, materials, and production schedules.
· Experience in metal fabrication, enclosure manufacturing, or industrial production environments.
Preferred
· Technical, trade school, or vocational training related to manufacturing or industrial operations.
· Experience with ERP systems, manufacturing software, or production reporting systems.
· Knowledge of ISO standards and manufacturing quality systems.
· Experience supporting employee development and cross-training programs.
· Advanced root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to elevated noise levels, vibration, fluctuating temperatures, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and metal fabrication byproducts. Employees regularly work around production equipment, forklifts, material-handling devices, and manufacturing processes.
The position requires regular presence throughout production operations to support employees, monitor workflow, address operational challenges, and ensure compliance with safety and quality expectations. Some activities may occur outdoors or between buildings, requiring adaptability to varying weather conditions. Required PPE must be worn at all times in designated work areas.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to stand, walk, and perform tasks for extended periods on concrete and industrial surfaces.
· Ability to bend, reach, stoop, crouch, climb, and maintain balance throughout the workday.
· Ability to navigate ramps, stairs, platforms, and production walkways safely.
· Ability to perform repetitive motions and manual handling activities.
· Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools and perform precision assembly tasks.
· Ability to read measurements, specifications, computer screens, and production documentation.
· Ability to safely work around production equipment, machinery, forklifts, and material-handling equipment.
