Description
- Accurately enter and maintain freight and manifest data.
- Complete manifesting and full-load manifesting.
- Enter manifest information where consignment notes are not available.
- Scan and process consignment notes and freight documentation.
- Process country pickups and manifests.
- Print headers and LSD documentation for daily operations.
- Complete accurate Dangerous Goods data entry and associated documentation.
- Audit entries, identify errors and correct discrepancies promptly.
- Communicate missing labels, unreadable barcodes, damaged freight and other exceptions to the appropriate teams.
- Liaise with Customer Service, Rail and Operations regarding freight movements and exceptions.
- Manage email communication relating to manifested freight, missed freight and rail movements.
- Communicate with operational teams using two-way radio and service windows.
- Resolve data and documentation issues quickly to prevent delays to outbound trailers.
- Escalate significant discrepancies to the KPO Supervisor or Customer Service.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance and audits.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to processes.
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation.
- Report equipment or system issues and request maintenance or replacement where required.
- Previous data entry, administration, freight or transport experience.
- Fast and accurate keyboard/data entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and correct data discrepancies.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Confidence working across multiple computer systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Operations, Customer Service and other departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight freight deadlines.
- Experience with freight manifesting or Dangerous Goods documentation would be highly regarded.
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance and following standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a busy operational team.
