Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a Java Developer with at least 7 years of Java development experience and proven experience leading a team of Java developers. The role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering scalable Java-based applications and systems for large enterprise environments. This position will translate business requirements into technical solutions, support high-quality software delivery, resolve technical issues, and contribute to innovation through modern development practices, microservices architecture, and cloud computing.
Software Requirements (Required and Preferred)
Required
Java: At least 7 years of professional experience developing Java-based applications and systems.
Java Development Tools: Experience using standard Java development, testing, debugging, build, and deployment tools.
Software Development Methodologies: Practical experience with Agile, Scrum, or comparable iterative delivery methodologies.
Application Development: Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting enterprise Java applications.
Version Control and Collaboration Tools: Experience using organization-approved source control, issue tracking, code review, and collaboration tools.
Testing Tools: Experience developing and executing unit, integration, and functional tests for Java applications.
Enterprise Delivery Practices: Experience delivering Java-based solutions within a large enterprise environment.

Overall Responsibilities
Lead, coordinate, and mentor a team of Java developers while supporting effective collaboration, technical growth, and high-quality delivery.
Develop, enhance, maintain, test, and deploy Java-based applications and systems that meet defined business and technical requirements.
Design and implement scalable, efficient, maintainable, and supportable Java solutions for large enterprise environments.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs, development tasks, implementation plans, and measurable delivery outcomes.

Proven experience leading or mentoring Java developers and coordinating technical delivery activities.
Advanced Java development certification, such as a Java SE 11 Developer certification, is preferred.
