This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Homewood Mountain & Lake Club, set on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, California.

Homewood is seeking a Comfort Station Attendant to join the Food & Beverage Department.

Job Summary:

The Comfort Station Attendant will be responsible for delivering an exceptional experience for members and guests by providing outstanding food and beverage service at the club’s comfort stations. This role is ideal for someone who is personable and self-motivated, enjoys working outdoors, and takes pride in anticipating member needs and building lasting relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet members and guests, provide personalized service, and anticipate their needs while maintaining a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages responsibly and in accordance with club standards and recipes.
• Serve snacks and grab-and-go food items, maintaining proper food safety, sanitation, and presentation standards.
• Open and close the comfort station daily, including setup, stocking, breakdown, and securing product and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of snacks, beverages, ice, and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels throughout the day and communicating shortages to management.
• Rotate inventory using first-in, first-out (FIFO) procedures to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the station at all times, including counters, coolers, restrooms if applicable, and surrounding areas.
• Accurately process orders and charges through the POS system and member accounts.
• Verify guest IDs, monitor alcohol consumption, and adhere to all responsible alcohol service laws and regulations.
• Work closely with management and fellow team members, relaying member feedback and preferences to enhance the overall experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous bartending, hospitality, or food and beverage experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktail preparation and wine and beer service preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with members and guests.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining high service standards.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to step into multiple roles as needed.
• Current Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
• Must be 21+ years of age.

• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including mornings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required based on business demand.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during busy service periods.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including working outdoors in varying weather conditions, standing and walking for extended periods, and lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds.

The Company’s good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $21-$25 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
