Senior, Footwear Product Developer, Local Creation GC

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will lead, guide and follow through on making decisions that will lead to timely product confirmation and sample delivery. You will execute product creation according to critical dates and performance/profitability goals. You will work with your multi-functional teammates to ensure manufacturability of product concepts. You will develop and utilize footwear knowledge to drive results and appropriately achieve project designs. You will apply fundamental understanding of multiple sports and standard methodologies to assure product quality and craftsmanship. In addition, you will engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are completed on time, can be commercialized, manufactured, while meeting design intent performance, costing and sustainability goals.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

As a Senior Footwear Product Developer for Great China Local Creation, you will work with key multi-functional team partners like: Product Design, Product Management, Manufacturing, Operations, etc. You will also be the key partner to our teams in Asia including our factory partners to ensure we are creating the product that exceeds our consumer expectations. You will need to work within the Nike matrix to ensure our products meet our Footwear Development standard methodologies for product excellence. You will also be a key point of contact for our manufacturing partners and ensure that communication during the product development process is clear and accurate.

Key Responsibilities & Attributes

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

• 3+ years of Footwear Product Creation experience

• Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives

• Strong team first mentality that instills trust to deliver product excellence

• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail

• Experience in project management

• Creative problem-solving skills from concepts to application.

• Knowledge of product construction concepts, materials, and the product creation life cycle

• The ability to read technical drawings, sketches and/or 3D digital files is a plus

• Ability to prioritize multiple work streams with competing priorities to deliver on tight timelines

• Knowledge of footwear pattern engineering, cost engineering, tooling or manufacturing processes is a plus

• Travel up to 15% as needed
