As we continue to scale our operations, we are looking for a Material Controlling Specialist who will play a key role in ensuring material accuracy, inventory integrity, and production order compliance across our manufacturing operations.

This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys solving operational challenges, improving processes, and serving as the link between physical material flow and system data accuracy.

Your responsibilities

As a Material Controlling Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring complete alignment between material movements on the shopfloor and transactions recorded in the ERP system.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Owning the accuracy of production order data throughout its entire lifecycle, from opening to closing.
• Reconciling material consumption between the ERP system and the production floor, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensuring full traceability of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods throughout the production process.
• Verifying the accuracy of finished goods reporting at the end of each shift.
• Monitoring material shortages and excess stocks, coordinating corrective actions with Production, Planning, and Warehouse teams.
• Driving compliance with material movement processes and enforcing the "scan & move" discipline across production areas.
• Performing regular physical-to-system inventory checks and initiating corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Verifying scrap transactions and ensuring material scrapping processes are properly executed and recorded.
• Supporting and documenting material movements related to rework activities.
• Conducting material loss analyses and identifying root causes of consumption variances.
• Supporting the accuracy of production and material-related KPI reporting.
• Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for material control and ERP-related material transactions on the shopfloor.
• Supporting periodic and annual physical inventory counts.
• Designing and implementing controls, safeguards, and process improvements that increase first-time data accuracy and reduce manual reconciliation efforts.
• Performing other duties assigned by management to support the company's growth and operational needs.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production, logistics, inventory management, or material control within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience managing material transactions in ERP systems.
• Secondary technical or vocational education required; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
• Proven experience maintaining inventory accuracy and resolving material discrepancies through root cause analysis.
• Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments; experience in start-up or scale-up operations will be highly valued.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in Polish; English will be an advantage for international collaboration.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in battery, electronics, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP and WMS systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent.
• Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and tools such as PDCA, 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, and Poka-Yoke.
• Exposure to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or comparable operational excellence programs.
• Experience training and supporting operators and supervisors in material control processes and ERP transactions.
• Understanding of component criticality, handling requirements, and traceability in electronics or battery manufacturing environments.
