Position: Senior Back End Developer

Location: Oporto - Hybrid

Job Summary: We are currently looking for a highly skilled Back End Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role, which aims to create an integrated solution addressing the operational needs of the Supply Chain Finance domain, particularly in the Middle Office and Back Office functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust Back End components for the SPART application using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud;
• Collaborate with front end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic;
• Implement and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes/OpenShift;
• Design and maintain continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, Sonar, XLDeploy, and XLRelease;
• Engage in database management and optimization using Oracle Exadata storage;
• Develop automated tests and participate in unit testing and behavior testing to ensure high-quality software delivery;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project goals.

Requirements:

• Back End Frameworks: Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud;
• Containerization: Experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift;
• Database Knowledge: SQL skills needed;
• Testing: Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks, unit testing, and behavior-driven testing;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Back End Developer, preferably within the financial sector or in a similar context;
• A proactive mindset, eager to learn and adapt in a challenging technical environment.

Appreciated Skills:

• CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Sonar, XLDeploy, and XLRelease;
• Experience with Oracle Exadata storage;
• Familiarity with microservices architecture;
• Experience with cloud services and integration;
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization.
