Power Quality – Service | Dubai, UAE | Middle East scope
Are you ready to take ownership of quality on complex data centre projects and make a real impact across the Middle East? At Eaton, we help solve some of the world’s most urgent power management challenges while improving quality of life and protecting the environment. Your career matters – and we’re here to make it work.
We’re looking for a QA/QC Lead – Data Centre Services to be the quality focal point for installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities. In this role, you’ll work closely with project, engineering, commissioning, client and third-party teams to ensure our projects are delivered safely, consistently and to the highest standards.
## What you’ll do:
This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail, technical understanding and ability to bring people together will directly support successful project delivery. You will:
- Develop and maintain clear project quality plans, inspection and test plans, procedures, checklists and acceptance criteria.
- Review specifications, contracts, drawings and technical requirements to define the right quality checks from the start.
- Monitor mechanical, electrical and instrumentation installations, helping teams deliver work that meets project and client expectations.
- Verify material traceability and certification, and coordinate inspections with clients, consultants and third-party inspectors.
- Review commissioning procedures, pre-commissioning checks, functional test protocols and turnover packages before execution.
- Plan and supervise FAT, SAT, inspections and testing, making sure results meet agreed acceptance criteria.
- Lead non-conformance management, root-cause investigations and corrective actions through to effective closure.
- Maintain accurate quality, calibration, commissioning and handover records, while supporting audits, risk tracking and continuous improvement.
## Qualifications:
- Degree, diploma or equivalent technical qualification in engineering, quality management, construction, commissioning or a related discipline is preferred.
- Relevant quality certification, internal-auditor training, ISO 9001 awareness or inspection qualifications would be advantageous.
- Substantial practical experience in installation and commissioning environments may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
## Skills:
- Proven QA/QC background in installation, construction, commissioning, engineering, manufacturing, power, electrical, mechanical or industrial project environments.
- Confidence creating and managing quality plans, ITPs, procedures, method statements, handover documentation and final turnover packages.
- Experience coordinating inspections, audits, FAT, SAT, functional testing, punch-list closure, non-conformance management and corrective actions.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical and mechanical service environments, combined with clear communication, leadership, stakeholder-management and documentation-control skills.
## What We Offer:
- The chance to work on challenging, high-impact data centre projects in a collaborative and supportive team.
- A culture that supports internal promotion and helps you build a long-term career with Eaton.
- Ongoing learning and development opportunities, including access to Eaton University.
- Meaningful work that contributes to reliability, safety, efficiency and sustainability through advanced power management technologies.
- A strong focus on wellbeing, with health and safety at the heart of how we work.
