Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Westminster to assist with the appointment of a Pest Control Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £21.83 - £28.80 per hour
Summary:
A Pest Control Officer is required to deliver a high-quality pest control service across Westminster, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations under the Public Health Act 1936 and Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949. The role involves investigating pest complaints, conducting surveys and treatments, carrying out enforcement duties and maintaining accurate casework records.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate pest control complaints, service requests and scheduled inspections.
- Carry out site and premises surveys to identify pest activity and appropriate treatment requirements.
- Plan and deliver effective pest control treatments using approved methods.
- Advise residents, complainants and staff on appropriate treatments and preventative measures.
- Coordinate and undertake block treatments and sewer baiting programmes.
Qualifications:
- RIPHH Level 3 in Pest Control
Essentials:
- Valid driving licence.
- Proven operational pest control experience.
- Good knowledge of pest control methods, treatments and preventative measures.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, particularly the Public Health Act 1936 and Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949.
