Position Summary
Lead strategic planning initiatives across the global vendor network to strengthen supply chain resilience, mitigate business risks, and enhance long term operational performance. This role is responsible for driving cross functional programs, developing risk management strategies, and ensuring vendor planning capabilities support business growth, continuity, and customer service objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic vendor planning programs that improve supply chain performance, flexibility, and resilience across the global supplier network.
- Develop and execute multi year initiatives focused on risk mitigation, capacity readiness, business continuity, and supply assurance.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize supply chain risks related to suppliers, capacity constraints, geopolitical events, transportation disruptions, and material availability.
- Establish risk monitoring frameworks, governance processes, and mitigation plans to minimize supply disruptions and business impacts.
- Drive scenario planning and stress testing activities to evaluate supply chain vulnerabilities and improve organizational preparedness.
- Partner with Procurement, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Finance, and Commercial teams to align strategic priorities and mitigation efforts.
- Support cross functional projects focused on supplier diversification, dual sourcing, regionalization, inventory optimization, and network resilience.
- Support executive level reporting that provide visibility to supply chain risks, mitigation actions, and program performance.
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and external risk factors to proactively identify emerging threats and opportunities.
- Support crisis management activities and coordinate cross functional response plans during significant supply disruptions.
- Serve as the central leader for large scale, cross functional initiatives, bringing together stakeholders across Planning, Procurement, Program Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, Finance, and Commercial teams to resolve complex business challenges, mitigate risks, and drive strategic outcomes.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in supply chain planning, vendor management, procurement, operations, or strategic program management.
- Experience supporting automotive electronics, semiconductor supply chains, electrical distribution systems, vehicle architecture, or other automotive technology products within a global manufacturing environment.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required and work flexible or extended hours to support global operations, critical business initiatives, supplier engagement, and issue resolution across multiple time zones.
- Demonstrated experience leading large scale cross functional projects in a global environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain risk management, business continuity planning, and supplier resiliency strategies.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across multiple functions and regions.
- Advanced analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience with scenario planning, risk assessment methodologies, and supply chain performance analytics.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
Nice to haves (preferred qualifications)
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration (MBA), Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as APICS/ASCM (CPIM, CSCP), PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent.
- Experience in global supplier management, strategic sourcing, or procurement organizations.
- Knowledge of supply chain resiliency frameworks, business continuity planning, and enterprise risk management methodologies.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics, supply chain modeling, and scenario planning tools.
- Experience working in highly regulated, complex, or global manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record of leading enterprise wide transformation programs and delivering measurable operational improvements.
- Experience presenting recommendations and influencing decisions at executive leadership levels.
- Understanding of geopolitical, economic, and market factors that impact global supply chains and supplier networks.
