About the Role

As an Analyst, Customer Collection, you will support HARMAN’s global business by managing customer receivables, performing daily collection activities, and ensuring timely resolution of payment-related issues. You will work closely with customers, Business Units, Sales, Cash Application, and management to support accurate receivables management, compliance, and audit readiness. In this role, you will perform daily tasks based on written instructions and guidance from the line manager or senior team members.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will support daily Accounts Receivable and collections activities across HARMAN businesses, working with global teams and external customers to ensure timely follow-up, escalation, reporting, and compliance.

  • Work with global teams geographically and across all HARMAN businesses to support Accounts Receivable and collections activities.
  • Perform daily tasks in accordance with written instructions and based on guidance from the line manager or senior team members.
  • Contact customers by phone and e-mail, handle incoming calls, and generate and send payment reminders.
  • Liaise with Business Units and Sales teams to resolve customer receivable and collection-related topics.
  • Identify, monitor, and escalate customer deductions and inform management about collection issues.
  • Analyze and manage customer receivables and prepare ad hoc reports for management as needed.
  • Complete closing tasks in a timely manner and support accurate period-end activities.
  • Collaborate with the line manager to fulfill external and internal audit requests.
  • Follow HARMAN SOX requirements and HARMAN Policy regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Cash Application team and provide back-up for one selected team member as appointed by the line manager.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the line manager and work afternoon shifts if required by customers’ time zones.

What You Need to Be Successful

The successful candidate should bring strong customer focus, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately in a global finance environment while following defined processes and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers by phone and e-mail.
  • Strong analytical skills to review, monitor, and manage customer receivables and deductions.
  • Ability to work according to written instructions, established processes, and guidance from the line manager or senior team members.
  • Understanding of collection processes, payment reminders, closing activities, and receivables follow-up.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Business Units, Sales, Cash Application, management, and global teams.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Additional experience in finance operations, collections, customer service, audit support, and compliance-focused environments would help a candidate stand out.
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, finance operations, or customer service.
  • Familiarity with SOX requirements, internal controls, audit support, or corporate policy compliance.
  • Experience working with global teams across multiple geographies and business units.
  • Ability to prepare clear reports and provide timely updates to management.
  • Experience collaborating with Cash Application, Sales, or Business Unit stakeholders.
