About the Role
We are inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced professionals for the position of Power & SCADA Design Expert to support upcoming major rail and transportation infrastructure projects in the United Arab Emirates.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, engineering, and integration of railway power supply and SCADA systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of modern rail networks.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and engineering of railway power supply systems, including traction and auxiliary power systems.
Develop Power & SCADA system designs for Metro, Railway, High-Speed Rail (HSR), Light Rail Transit (LRT), and Automated People Mover (APM) projects.
Prepare system architecture, single-line diagrams, design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including signalling, communications, track, civil, structural, MEP, and systems integration disciplines.
Ensure compliance with international railway standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
Participate in interface management, design reviews, testing and commissioning planning, and system integration activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10–15 years of experience in railway power supply system design, SCADA engineering, and electrical systems integration.
Proven experience delivering Metro, Railway, High-Speed Rail (HSR), Light Rail Transit (LRT), or Automated People Mover (APM) projects.
Strong knowledge of railway traction power systems, auxiliary power distribution, substations, SCADA architecture, electrical protection systems, and control systems.
Experience preparing detailed engineering designs, technical specifications, calculations, and interface documentation.
Familiarity with international railway standards such as IEC, IEEE, EN, and other relevant industry codes.
Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination within complex rail infrastructure projects.
Experience working within international engineering consultancy environments is highly desirable.
UAE or GCC project experience is preferred.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
