Marketing and Proposal Specialist

Position Summary:
Cahill Contractors is seeking an energetic and highly motivated marketing professional to join our Marketing team. The Marketing and Proposal Specialist will report to the Marketing Director.
- Commitment: You will own the RFP/RFQ process, develop and improve content, and maintain our client relationship database to track pursuits and leads.
- Collaboration: You will work closely with Cahill leadership and other internal clients as part of a high-performing marketing team.

Responsibilities include:
- Lead the full proposal and pursuit process for RFQs, RFPs, and other qualifications-based submissions from initial review and kickoff through final production (in InDesign) and submission. Develop pursuit schedules, coordinate contributors, track deliverables, and ensure all requirements and deadlines are met.
- Manage content, layout, proofreading, editing and overall quality control.
- Lead team meetings and capture the proposal plan
- Lead project interview preparations and develop presentations.
- Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, including analyzing requirements, writing original content, editing team contributions, coordinating logistics, and complying with specifications and deadlines
- Conduct market, lead, and potential client research, as needed.
- Lead all necessary proposal close-out activities including updating CRM, asset and content library and organizing electronic filing.
- Manage and update marketing collateral including project exhibits, resumes, brochures, and presentation materials.
- Maintain CRM, asset and content library, and other databases, as needed.
- Assist in various other marketing functions (not limited to content marketing support, photo/video shoots, internal/external communication projects and events, etc.)
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or similar field of study
- 5-7 years of architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry marketing experience
- Experience in proposal coordination
- Excellent technical writing/editing skills and the ability to distill technical narratives into creative, engaging content
- Adobe Creative Suite experience (specifically InDesign familiarity)
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines
- Desire to contribute as part of a winning team and actively participate in a culture of appreciation and purpose
- Knowledge of CRM (Treblehook, Salesforce, or similar) preferred
- Knowledge of CMS Web/Intranet platforms (WordPress, Joomla, SharePoint) preferred
Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements described herein are representative of those that must be met by the employee, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in an office or hybrid setting. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws. This position will be regularly required to:
- Repetitively use hand motions for keyboard use and physical use of vision to read computer monitors and paper documents.
- Regularly use hands to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, phone, printer, etc.)
- See with close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus.
- Sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time working on a computer.
- Talk and hear at normal levels. The noise level in the office work environment is usually low to moderate.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.

The base yearly salary for this exempt role is targeted between $90,000 – $115,000 depending on experience
